Who, What, Why.

I’m Rachel.  This is my pup, Penny Lane.  She’s about a year old, and I’m 25.  I’m married to quite a delightful man named Jacob.  I have a passion for beauty – in people, places, and things – and also cherish the little pieces of life, what some may call mundane, that really make it all worth while.

Milk + Honey sounds lovely, doesn’t it?  For me, it connotes all things delicious, gooey, yummy, and overflowing.  Honey spilling over the edge of a scone or dripping in tendrils down into a cup of hot tea.  Milky, frothy foam atop a latte or slipping down into a pot on the stove, ready for the alchemy of the kitchen.  It’s indulgent and scrumptious.  And so, the perfect title for my blog, an account of my favorite things – edible and otherwise.  So, Milk + Honey is simply my repository of all lovely, fun, silly, delicious, amazing, heart-warming, thoughtful, and evocative things in my life.
